ROLE: DIGITAL UX/UI DESIGNER
During my time at Talent Works International, I was very fortunate to be project lead on quite possibly one of the biggest clients I have ever worked on, iRobot. As TWi specialised in career campaigns, iRobot came to us looking to rebrand their careers page and create a whole new site to be contained within their main international e-commerce website. This was to be designed and built using site-core as they already were using this platform for their main sales sight and had an existing catalogue of components we could use, even though we advised them it would be cheaper and much less time-consuming to produce this WordPress.
This was a very taxing project to work on as the usual creative free reign I had on projects such as this nature was now restricted by the clients-provided components book! At first, it seemed impossible, and once we had conducted all the preliminary stages of the project such as user research, workflow generation, persona creation, and the sitemap, I got to work with our product manager to plan how I would attack this head one! Ultimately we locked ourselves in a room, put a 'DO NOT DISTURB' sign on the door, broke out the post-it notes, and frantically started pining notes to the whiteboard until we had the bones of our site!
This project was the first real-time I was lead and oversaw the generation of all the assets required to fulfil the client contract, such as iconography, visual assets and direction, and even the careers brand guidelines. To this date, it is still one of my proudest moments as a designer, due to the time, effort, and dedication I put in to meet all of the client's needs...
